The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

How we get the personal information and why we have it

The personal information we collect is provided directly by you for the purposes of organising the 2021 Invisible Reconstruction Conference.
We may share this personal information with members of the organising, editorial and scientific committees in order to review abstract submissions, edit submissions, prepare publications and marketing material as well as to send you details about the conference.
We will not share this information with third parties.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  1. Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting editors@invisiblereconstruction.com.
  2. Our legitimate interests. Where it is necessary for us to assess submitted abstracts, communicate with conference participants for the purposes of arranging the conference programme, events and associated publications. In order to responding to your queries and/or to resolve complaints

Security of your personal data

We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational controls to protect your personal data against unauthorised processing and against accidental loss, damage or destruction. We do not collect or store passwords.

We will keep the information that you provide until 1 September 2022 after which date the data will be deleted from the database.

How we may contact you

From time to time we may send you service emails in relation to Invisible Reconstruction conferences and publications or to update privacy and other policies.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
  • Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete
  • Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
  • You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

You can also complain to the ICO if you are unhappy with how we have used your data.
